Birthday Boxes for Local Food Pantries

Birthday Boxes provide cake kits to local food pantries, ensuring that all kids and adults can enjoy a birthday cake on their special day. Each kit includes a pan, cake mix, frosting, a can of soda (to use in place of eggs), cake plates & napkins, candles, balloons, and a birthday card – making it possible for all families to celebrate, even those in transient housing or facing food insecurity.

This year, for her birthday, one of our members, Penny D’Aleo, took it upon herself to raise enough money to provide birthday boxes for the year to area pantries. Just knowing there are many happy children out there enjoying their birthday cake, is our reward!
