2nd Annual Bike Safety Rodeo

Our Kiwanis Club of Greater Enfield put on a terrific 2nd Annual Bike Rodeo on May 16th! The weather was perfect, the volunteers were happy and excited, and the parents and kids all had a great time!

Bike safety tips, proper helmet fitting, an obstacle course, bike washing, speed radar checks, and bike decorating were all a part of this event. The children also received a certificate for completing the training as well as safety information to take home and, of course, some snacks. Children and their families from 5 neighboring towns enjoyed the bike safety rodeo.

Special thanks go to The Town of Enfield Police Department and Police Explorers Program, Thompsonville Fire Department, Enfield CT Rotary Club , Enfield Elks Club , Enfield Food Shelf, Inc. , BiCiCo and to all our club members who participated!

Six lucky kids won a brand new bike in our raffle, and many received free helmets. Our mission is to make children’s lives better, one child and one community at a time, and we certainly did that for these children!
